Project Description
The contract for design and construction of the first section of Qom monorail with a length of 8.6 km was concluded between Metra Consulting Engineers Company and the Urban Train Organization in 2009. This project is the first monorail line in the country with the aim of developing modern transportation systems with a length of 7.18 km to connect the northeastern part of Qom city to the center of the holy shrine of Imam Masoumeh (AS) and the Qatari extension to the southwest and finally the city. The new campus has been designed and approved.

Description of Metra Consulting Engineers Services
The first phase of the project is an EPC contract and includes the stages of designing the navigation and structural system and purchasing equipment, as well as the construction of a 8.6 km monorail complex with 8 stations, a central depot and a central control building, along with the supply of a monorail wagon in July 2009. The contract between Qom City Train Organization and Mapna-Keyson partnership entered the executive phase.
With the completion and construction of the first phase of the project, the passenger capacity will reach 12,000 PPHPD and with the construction and completion of the entire line, the capacity will reach 19,200 PPHPD.
