Project Description
Plan Objectives
Selecting the high- speed plan and the construction of a new route for Tehran- Mashhad railway axis at the top speed of 300 kilometers per hour (with electric traction ) as a rapid railway, which leads to a reduction in the travel time .

Preliminary studies include examining existing status, design criteria, path studies, geotechnical studies and hydrology, traffic studies,
Operational studies, symptoms, communication, electricity and fleet, financial and economic studies, summing up and concluding studies
And the summary of the studies was, of course, checked in all the following studies.
Option 1- Investigating the construction of a new rail route at the top speed of 300 kilometers per hour (with electric traction )
Option 2: Construction of a new railway line with a design speed of 250 km / h (with electric traction)
Option 3- Investigating the construction of a new rail route at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour (with electric or diesel traction )
Option 4: Improvement of existing lines for operational speed of 160 km \/ h: Improved passenger transmission
