Project Description
the Contract for the materials provision and implementation of Mianeh –Bostan Abad – Shahgoli Pool ( Tabriz) Railway Axis – between the Metra Consulting Engineers Company and Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company was concluded in order to realize the following goals:
Quick and easy access to Tehran in the northwestern parts of the country by reducing the connection of Tabriz to the railway network by 100 km
Distribution, load displacement, cheap transport, increased safety, reduced road traffic volume
Decreased by 114 kilometers of old Railway Tehran – Tabriz with the construction of the Middle project – Tabriz
Plan Objectives
- Reduced 100 kilometers length of the connection of East Azarbaijan province to the country’s rail network
- Decrease 114 kilometers of Tehran old railway with the construction of the Mianeh- Tabriz project
- Distribution, load displacement, cheap transport, increased safety, reduced road traffic volume
- Increased transit of goods from domestic production centers to consumer markets in Asian and European countries through boundary terminals according to the geographical location of the province

The length of the project : 183 km is the length of the route and 34.5 km is the length of station lines

Description :
The first phase from Mianeh to Bostan Abad with 4 stations and 133 km has been opened and in the second phase, the distance from Bostan Abad to Khavaran with a length of 44 km and 2 stations will be put into operation soon.
The Mianeh- Bostan Abad Tabriz is the first project used by national production rails (60E1).
